Why consider St Teresa’s? We could suggest many reasons! Here are just four.
- Academic standards are high. We are very proud of our children’s achievements at St Teresa’s (which is non-selective). See also: Destination Schools
- St Teresa’s is, first and foremost, a Catholic school. This is an important part of our identity. We also have many non-Catholic families from a range of different religious faiths and others of no faith at all. All are equally welcome and valued. See also: Mission and history
- Our pastoral oversight. We take great care of the children. Behaviour expectations are consistently very high and children unfailingly polite. We place emphasis on the importance of kindness. We are a stewardship school – our final year pupils become Stewards (instead of school monitors or prefects). They choose to take on responsibilities for areas of school life, which helps them to develop as leaders.
The atmosphere here cannot really be put in to words – but it is something that visitors tend to notice and staff and pupils cherish. See also: Open Mornings
- Our relatively small size means that nobody falls below the radar. We all know each other. The environment is nurturing.
The main entry points are the Pre-school and Reception. Places are available in some other year groups – please enquire about current availability.
