On this page you will find work for the continuation of your child’s learning, during the forced closure of the school site. The work on this page will be updated for Monday morning each week. You will find a variety of online and paper-based work for pupils to complete, in conjunction with the pack that they were given on our last day.
You may find it helpful to use the class timetable below, to help create a structure to learning at home, have a balance of curriculum and ensure breaks are taken. Further specialist teachers remote learning work can be found on the Sport and Music pages within Academic Life section of our website.
Your child will need basic resources (i.e. pencils, pens, glue stick, dictionary) and a quiet place to work. If they are completing online work, we would suggest that they have your supervision and you agree guidelines for Internet use. All written work should be completed in existing homework books, include a date and title and be neatly presented.
Some of the activities set use our online learning platforms MyMaths and Purple Mash; on these, teachers, during a normal school day, will be able to review, mark and comment on work completed by the pupils. (Do bear in mind if class teachers are ill, we will aim to continue to respond to work but this may take slightly longer.) Please note that teacher feedback will only happen during school term time, not during the holidays. Also bear in mind, that they will not always instantly respond as they may be responding to another child, just as they would be in the classroom.
Our usual paper-based, Easter holiday homework, for Years Two to Six, was sent home separately on our last day and this should be returned to school once we re-open.
User guidelines for parents on using Purple Mash can be found below. Please only use these platforms to leave comments regarding teaching and learning, all other communications should continue to go to our office email address.
