Bonsoir St. Teresa’s,
We have had a quieter day. First stop was the bakery where the children learnt how to make croissants and even had a go. Of course, we had to try some tasty pastries! After, we went to visit our pen pals; they were very warm and welcoming and we took part in a maths lesson (delivered in French). Lastly, we went to the supermarket where we spent the last of our money!
We are now all packing and preparing for our BBQ.
The children have had a really enjoyable experience this week. No doubt you’ll hear all about it once they have recovered!
P.S The man in the photo is our driver Nigel, the children are very fond of him!
Bonjour St. Teresa’s!
We have had a lovely day immersing ourselves in the life of St. Therese. First at her childhood home, then celebrating a Mass at the Carmel (where she lived when she was a nun). We ended with a rousing rendition of St Teresa’s hymn – inspiring some trainee priests to join in! Last stop was the Basilica where we climbed 175 steps to get the best view!
The children are thoroughly enjoying themselves ☺
Bonjour St. Teresa’s
We have had a lovely, fun-filled day. Despite going up to 35 degrees, the children have coped incredibly well. We went to Normandy beach before visiting Notre Dame cathedral, and finally getting to see the awe-inspiring Bayeux Tapestry. We are currently cooling off and preparing for dinner!
We enjoyed a very smooth crossing. The children had a great time playing a competitive game of Limbo! We are now settling in and enjoying the sunshine!
