Here at St Teresa’s we pride ourselves on our loving ethos, where all children are valued and nurtured to become the best that they can be. Each child is unique and we are committed to lighting the spark so that all our children love learning, experience success (and challenges) and achieve academically, spiritually, physically, artistically, musically and socially.
The size of St Teresa’s is a huge advantage, staff know every child by name and nobody is overlooked. Indeed, it is by getting to know the children well that we can help them to develop their individual gifts and abilities. Many of our parents comment on how St Teresa’s feels like a family! Our Year Six pupils take on stewardship roles and have ‘Special Friends’ in the Reception class, which encourages this ethos. The responsibility of these roles helps our children prepare for their move to Secondary Schools, which include the local Grammar Schools, state school and a wide range of independent schools, to which many of our pupils have been offered scholarships this year.
Children learn best when they are actively involved and enjoying school. Through our curriculum we aim to plan and provide many exciting learning experiences and opportunities through daily teaching, visitors and trips and visits locally and further afield. To experience the best of St Teresa’s, you need to come to the school and soak up the atmosphere! When you visit our school we are sure you will notice the happy and busy working environment and the enthusiastic participation of our children, which we think reflects the aims and values of the school.
This website gives you a glimpse of life within our school, but we would be pleased to tell you more or answer any questions either through a visit or telephone call. We all love coming to school and we hope that you and your children will be equally keen to join us and to be a part of our community.
